Teenage is a time for trying new things. This is when every parent encounters
The common teenage problems with their teenager, girl or boy. Teens use alcohol and other drugs for many reasons, including curiosity, because it feels good, to reduce stress, to feel grown up or to fit in the group.


The common teenage problems include identity crisis. One of the common teenage problems in the development and growth of teenagers is the negative and destructive themes of some rock and other kinds of music. The following troublesome themes are prominent. Advocating and glamorizing abuse of drugs and alcohol, pictures and explicit lyrics presenting suicide as an "alternative" or "solution", graphic violence, sadism, masochism, incest, and violence toward women are some of the causes. Parents can help their teenagers out of all these common teenage problems by paying attention to their teen-agers purchasing, listening and viewing of cassettes and videos. An open discussion without criticism may be helpful.


The common teenage problems deal with masturbation, menstruation, contraception, pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases. Some teenagers also struggle with conflicts around family, religious or cultural values. The common teenage problems are school demands and frustrations, negative thoughts and feelings about themselves, problems with friends, separation or divorce of parents, chronic illness or severe problems in the family, death of a loved one, family financial problems. Some teens become overloaded with stress. When it happens, inadequately managed stress can lead to anxiety, withdrawal, aggression, physical illness, or poor coping skills such as drug or alcohol use
